Affordable halal catering

Cheap halal catering, and where the rate actually drops

Halal menus are priced the same as non-halal ones. What moves the total is headcount and delivery, not the halal part.

Affordable halal catering spread of local dishes in Singapore

The halal premium people expect does not exist here

The common assumption is that halal costs more. It does at plenty of places, because halal is handled as a special request on top of a standard operation. Here it is a set of menus from Muslim-owned stalls priced identically to the rest.

So what actually moves your total is the same two things as any other order. The rate steps down with headcount — $18 at 10 people, $15 from 15, $13 from 30, $10 from 75. And delivery is $30 below 15 pax and free above it.

That makes the jump from 10 to 15 nearly free: $210 against $225, so five more people costs about $15. If your headcount sits near that line, ordering for 15 is the better value almost every time.

  • No halal premium

Priced identically to the equivalent non-halal menus.

  • $10 per pax at 75+

The lowest rate on the entry-level menus.

  • Free delivery from 15

$30 below that, nothing above it.

  • Free dish swaps

Changing the spread does not change the price.

The menu

What the entry-level halal menu includes

The Halal Chinese $15 Menu at the 15 pax tier and above. This is the cheapest halal menu level, and it is a complete spread rather than a stripped-down one.

  • Chicken Rendang With Onion Redish And Toasted Coconut
  • Sweet and Sour Chicken
  • Crispy Fish with Salted Egg Yolk Coating
  • Wok Fried Broccoli With Carrots In Egg Drop Sauce
  • Deep Fried Spring Roll With Thai Chilli Sauce
  • Blue Pea Egg Fried Rice With Seasonal Greens
  • Bee Hoon Goreng with Green Vegetables
  • Chilled Longan & Sea Coconut

Every dish can be swapped for another at no cost — there are 43 free options on the Halal Chinese $15 Menu, including Gong Bao Chicken Dices, Curry Chicken with Potato, Butter Cereal Chicken, Vegetarian Curry Mock Chicken. Select halal in the planner and only halal menus and halal swaps are shown.

Before you order

How ordering works

  • Book early for popular dates

Our cutoff is one day before your event. In practice, order earlier: festive periods, year-end parties and weekend slots fill up well ahead, and booking early secures both your slot and the dishes you want.

  • Delivery $30

For mini buffet and bento orders, islandwide, and free on promotional menus above $225.

  • Drop and go, nothing to return

Food arrives in insulated warmer bags that keep it hot, and the bags are yours to keep. Every set comes with serving gear, cutlery, plates, bowls, a disposable table cloth and a trash bag, so you can bag everything up and bin it the moment you are done.

  • Changes up to 24 hours before

Adjust your headcount, menu or timing more than 24 hours before your event, subject to availability. Within 24 hours the food and manpower are already committed, so changes and cancellations are normally not accepted and a fee of 50% to 100% of the order may apply.

Additional charges may apply for outlying areas (Tengah, Lim Chu Kang, Tuas, Sentosa, Changi Airport and Alps Avenue), deliveries before 10am or after 7.30pm, and venues without lift access. Every charge is confirmed in your quotation before you pay. See full terms.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest halal catering you offer?

$10 per pax from 75 people, with delivery included, on the entry-level menus. At smaller headcounts: $13 from 30, $15 from 15, and $18 plus $30 delivery at 10.

Does halal catering cost more?

No. Halal menus are priced identically to the equivalent non-halal ones — $18 per pax at 10 people plus $30 delivery, $15 from 15 with delivery free, $13 from 30 and $10 from 75.

Is the cheap menu a smaller spread?

No. The entry-level menu is eight dishes at 15 pax and above — the same structure as the higher menu levels, with different dishes on it. What you get for more money is a more premium selection, not more plates.

Is the food halal certified?

Our halal menus come from Muslim-owned stalls. Halal-certified menus — carrying MUIS certification — are available through our partnering vendors on request. Those are two different things, and if your event requires certification specifically rather than halal preparation, say so when you enquire so we only look at vendors who carry it.

How do I make sure nothing non-halal is included?

Select halal in the menu planner. From that point only halal menus are shown to you, including every free swap option, so there is nothing to check afterwards.

How far in advance should I order catering?

The latest we can take an order is one day before your event. We recommend booking earlier than that: popular dates such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Christmas and the year-end party season are taken weeks ahead, and ordering early secures your slot and the dishes you want. For large events, the earlier the better.

Is there a delivery fee?

Delivery is free on mini buffet and bento orders of $225 or more before GST. Below that it is $30, and a 10 pax order always carries the fee whatever the order comes to. On the entry-level mini buffet menus $225 is reached at 15 pax. A buffet with setup instead carries a $90 setup fee, charged once per order, which covers delivery, laying out the buffet line and collecting the equipment afterwards. Remote postal codes, deliveries at 9.59am or earlier or 7.31pm or later, and venues without lift access can add a surcharge on top; every one is published and appears in your quotation before you confirm.

What is included with the food?

Mini buffet orders are drop and go: the food arrives in insulated warmer bags that are yours to keep, with serving gear, cutlery, plates, bowls, a disposable table cloth and a trash bag, so you can bag everything up and bin it after your event. Bento meals come individually boxed with cutlery. Buffet with setup includes a skirted table and cloth, warmers, serving gear, disposable plates, cutlery and napkins, and our team returns to collect the equipment.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, with more than 24 hours' notice before your event, subject to availability. Within 24 hours the food and manpower are already committed, so changes and cancellations are normally not accepted and a fee of 50% to 100% of the order may apply.
