Canape catering

Canape catering in Singapore

The formal end of standing food. The decision that moves the price is not the menu — it is whether canapes are passed by staff or set out on a station.

Catering spread from multiple vendors laid out for a reception in Singapore

Passed or stationed

Canapes are the most presentation-led thing on this site, and the single decision that shapes both the experience and the cost is service style. Passed canapes come round on trays carried by staff, which means labour on site for the length of the reception. Stationed canapes are set out on a table and people come to them, which does not.

Passed service suits a launch or an awards reception where the room is standing and moving and you want the food to reach the corners. Stationed suits almost everything else, and costs materially less for the same food.

Either way it is quoted per order through our partnering vendors rather than priced from a rate card. Tell us which service style you want when you ask, because quoting the wrong one wastes a round trip.

  • Say passed or stationed

It changes the quote more than the menu does.

  • Quoted per order

Options and prices usually back the same working day.

  • One day's notice

Subject to vendor availability and, for passed service, staff.

  • Halal available

From Muslim-owned stalls; certified options on request.

What it costs and when to order

Ordering canapes

Fixed facts; the canapes themselves are quoted.

How it is priced
Canape catering is quoted per order rather than from a published rate card. The price depends on which partnering vendor makes it and what goes on the table, so we put the quote in front of you before anything is committed.
Getting a price
Send the date, the headcount, the delivery address and roughly what you want on the table. A specialist comes back with options and prices, usually the same working day.
Lead time
One day's notice, subject to vendor availability on your date.
Same-day orders
Not something we promise in advance, but we do try. Message us with the date, the headcount and the address, and a specialist will check what is open and come back either way.
Service style
Passed by staff, or set out on a station. Passed service carries on-site labour for the length of the reception and costs materially more for the same food.
What we can price today
A mini buffet — shared trays delivered in insulated warmer bags — is $18 per pax plus $30 delivery at 10–14 pax, $15 with delivery free from 15, $13 from 30 and $10 from 75. Published, and it does not move.
Changing your order
Up to 24 hours before delivery.
Halal
Halal options are available at the same price. Halal menus come from Muslim-owned stalls, and halal-certified options are available through our partnering vendors on request.
Surcharges
$30 for delivery at 9.59am or earlier or 7.31pm or later. $15 for postal codes 71, 63, 09, 50 and 49. $50–$100 per level where there is no lift access.
Before you order

How ordering works

  • Book early for popular dates

Our cutoff is one day before your event. In practice, order earlier: festive periods, year-end parties and weekend slots fill up well ahead, and booking early secures both your slot and the dishes you want.

  • Mini buffet and bento delivery $30

Drop and go: food arrives in insulated warmer bags that are yours to keep, with serving gear, cutlery, plates, bowls, a disposable table cloth and a trash bag. Free on promotional menus above $225.

  • Buffet delivery and setup $90

One fee covers delivery, a full setup with a skirted table and cloth, warmers, serving gear, disposable plates, cutlery and napkins, and our team returning to collect the equipment after your event.

  • Changes up to 24 hours before

Adjust your headcount, menu or timing more than 24 hours before your event, subject to availability. Within 24 hours the food and manpower are already committed, so changes and cancellations are normally not accepted and a fee of 50% to 100% of the order may apply.

Additional charges may apply for outlying areas (Tengah, Lim Chu Kang, Tuas, Sentosa, Changi Airport and Alps Avenue), deliveries before 10am or after 7.30pm, and venues without lift access. Every charge is confirmed in your quotation before you pay. See full terms.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between passed and stationed canapes?

Passed canapes are carried round on trays by staff for the length of the reception, which means on-site labour. Stationed canapes are set out on a table for people to come to, which does not. The food can be identical; the cost is not.

How much does canape catering cost in Singapore?

It is quoted per order rather than from a published rate card. Service style moves the figure more than the menu does, so tell us whether you want passed or stationed service when you enquire.

Are canapes and finger food the same thing?

Close, but canapes sit at the more formal end — smaller, more presentation-led, and more often passed by staff. A request for finger food and a request for canapes will produce different options from the same vendors.

How do I get a price?

Send the date, the headcount, the delivery address and roughly what you want on the table, either through the planner or on WhatsApp. A specialist comes back with vendor options and prices, usually the same working day.

How much notice do you need?

One day, subject to vendor availability on your date. Most catering in Singapore asks for three to five working days. Same-day orders are not something we promise in advance, but we do try to make them happen — message us and a specialist will check what is open.

Can it be halal?

Yes. Halal menus come from Muslim-owned stalls, and halal-certified options are available through our partnering vendors on request. Select halal in the planner and only halal options are shown.

How far in advance should I order catering?

The latest we can take an order is one day before your event. We recommend booking earlier than that: popular dates such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Christmas and the year-end party season are taken weeks ahead, and ordering early secures your slot and the dishes you want. For large events, the earlier the better.

Is there a delivery fee?

Delivery is free on mini buffet and bento orders of $225 or more before GST. Below that it is $30, and a 10 pax order always carries the fee whatever the order comes to. On the entry-level mini buffet menus $225 is reached at 15 pax. A buffet with setup instead carries a $90 setup fee, charged once per order, which covers delivery, laying out the buffet line and collecting the equipment afterwards. Remote postal codes, deliveries at 9.59am or earlier or 7.31pm or later, and venues without lift access can add a surcharge on top; every one is published and appears in your quotation before you confirm.

What is included with the food?

Mini buffet orders are drop and go: the food arrives in insulated warmer bags that are yours to keep, with serving gear, cutlery, plates, bowls, a disposable table cloth and a trash bag, so you can bag everything up and bin it after your event. Bento meals come individually boxed with cutlery. Buffet with setup includes a skirted table and cloth, warmers, serving gear, disposable plates, cutlery and napkins, and our team returns to collect the equipment.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, with more than 24 hours' notice before your event, subject to availability. Within 24 hours the food and manpower are already committed, so changes and cancellations are normally not accepted and a fee of 50% to 100% of the order may apply.
